  • What is the problem?

    The windshield wiper system could operate intermittently or may become inoperable due to snow and/or ice accumulation. Intermittent or inoperative windshield wipers could reduce driver visibility while operating the vehicle in inclement weather, increasing the risk of a crash.

  • What are the affected vehicles?

    The subject vehicles include certain model year 2021-2023 Hyundai Palisade vehicles produced December 1, 2020 through November 22, 2022 by Hyundai Motor Company ("HMC") for sale in the U.S. market.

  • What is the safety concern?

    Intermittent or inoperative windshield wipers could reduce driver visibility while operating the vehicle in inclement weather, increasing the risk of a crash.

  • Have there been any accidents or injuries?

    As of the date of the initial filing, Hyundai has confirmed 20 unique incidents received from Novemeber 18, 2021 to March 9, 2023 in the U.S. There are no confirmed crashes or injuries related to this condition.

  • What will Hyundai Do?

    On affected vehicles, your Hyundai dealership will replace the driver-side windshield wiper arm. This procedure will be performed at NO CHARGE to you.
